Gilded Cross
22 carat gold leaf was used to gild All Saints Episcopal Church's original 1905 cross . The wooden surface was prepared by stripping off the remains of previous paint and gold leaf applications, followed by priming and base painting in a golden-ochre color. San Francisco, Ca.
